Focus areas for the Hindi District Cascade Workshops
The focus of this year's Hindi STF District workshops will be to:
Aims उद्देश्य
- Understand the Internet as a resource repository for Hindi language teaching and other professional and personal needs
- Access resources and discuss about Hindi language teaching in Indian / Karnataka context (multi-lingual, second language)
- Learn different digital methods and connection to language teaching learning
- Creating OERs using various digital methods (text, image, audio and video resources), including specifically for high school chapters in the Hindi text book
- Connecting to peers for sharing and learning - virtual forums
- Build ICT skills for teachers
- Access the Karnataka Open Educational Resources and Contribute to KOER
- Discuss second language learning aims, challenges and approaches. Access resources in Hindi and read and discuss these
DIET Nodal Officer / MRP responsibilities
- DIET Nodal Officer to enter Batch information on Day 1 of workshop. This information can be viewed on here
- Please email koer@karnatakaeducation.org.in for support during training. Or call Sunil (080 26654134)
- Please read the DSERT guidelines and ensure ICT Lab is in full working condition
- Since STF requires Internet, ensure Internet availability, with minimum 8 Mbps connection
- To allow for adequate practice, batch size should around 20-25 based on number of working computers. Ensure 1:1 computer:teacher ratio.
- The training labs should have the NEW Ubuntu version 14.04 installed on them see installation process here. This has software for Kannada and Hindi interface.
- During the workshop, the MRPs must transact the Agenda with any changes as needed. The following activities must be completed:
- Practising sending and receiving emails
- Creation of Gmail IDs for all teachers without email ids.
- Addition of email address to the maths Hindi forum click here. You can click here, to visit the googlegroups page to add members.
- Participants must see the website of the groups Hindi STF group.
- Sharing web links and other digital resources to the forum
- Familiarization with the KOER resource website and identifying resources to be added
- Submission of one activity to KOER through Contribute button
- Updating district training details on the district pages. This includes
- Day wise workshop report
- Uploading workshop photographs on Google photos
- On Day 5,Participant Feedback Form and ICT Use form is to be filled by participants. This is a compulsory activity
