Objective of the workshop

  1. Understand the possibilities of integrating ICT in teaching and learning.
  2. Using and creating Open Educational Resources (OER) by using Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) applications for classroom teaching
  3. Developing a personal digital library (PDL) on a chosen topic.

Participants create PDL for a chosen topic, accessing and downloading resources- images, videos and animations to create a PDL

Participants have a repository of resourses for the chosen topic acessed from internet that are collected and organised PDL Topic

DAY 2
ICT for creating and learning 10:30 - 1:00 Presentation and

Hands-on

Creating concept map for the chosen topic

Hyper-linking (local & web) resources to the concept map

Using note window, internal connectors to enrich your concept map Insert images and different symbols to make more attractive

Use different export option to export your concept map as text document, html, pdf and Image format also

Participants explore and create an overview of chosen topic, add notes, images and web links to enrich the created mind map

Participants make different versions of the map created

ICT for generic resource creation - Images 3.00 - 500 Presentation and

Hands-on

Using different graphic resource creation tools to create resources

Creating graphic resource for the chosen topic - taking pictures using screenshot

Creating and editing pictures, adding text, colors for created pictures

Participants are be able to edit images downloaded using image editor tool.

Participants are able to take screen shots, create and edit images
