Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Kimmane Ratnakar said on Wednesday that basic knowledge of computers and English will be made mandatory in future recruitment of schoolteachers. Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, he said, “the knowledge of computers is essential in the current society. Besides, schoolteachers should have basic knowledge of English as it is being taught as a language from Class 1. Those who like to become teachers need to update their knowledge of English and computers,” he said.
