What happens when force is applied to a marble? If a marble moves then e say work is done. What happens when force is applied to a wall? If wall is not moved then the work is not done. Work is said to be done when the point of application of a force moves. The work done by the force on a body depends on two factor, magnitude of the force and distance that the body moves. i.e. Work = Force * Distance
