Activity No # 1 - Observation of xylem tissue in balsam plant(Karnakundala)

Materials/ Resources needed

A young Balsam plant,Eosin solution,Test tube or beaker,Blade,Water etc.

Prerequisites/Instructions, if any

Process (How to do the activity)

  • Select a young balsam plant and clean the roots properly.
  • Take a beaker and fill half of of it with water.
  • Add 2 to 3 drops of eosin solution into the beaker.
  • Place the balsam plant in the beaker and keep it for 2 hours.
