The workshop is scheduled on Novermber 18th 2022 at the Vijaya Teachers College (VTC) computer lab.

Objectives of the workshop

  1. Introducing Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) to the CRPs, BRPs and BIERT's
  2. Introducing about TIIE project and discussing possibilities to work in schools
  3. Understanding the importance of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and Open Educational Resources (OER) in Education
  4. Introducing to use digital tools to collect and analyses the data using FOSS
  5. Exploring variety of digital tools in the the CRPs, BRPs and BIERT's routing work

2. Browsing the variety of digital resources like Images, Videos, text and audio resources
3. What is OER and FOSS? FOSS and OER in education?
4. Accessing resource repositories – through KOER, Wiki pedia and CRP related resources
5. Exploring the browser features (Bookmarking, Managing history, browser shortcuts) to make browsing more effective and maintain library
6. Using Phone browser to access to we resources and bookmark pages and links

2. Use Google form to - to create forms and collect information
3. Accessing form responses and setting up a restrictions (both individual and group responses)
4. Exporting responses in a spreadsheet

3.15 to 4.00 Creating with ICT – text resources 2 1. Understanding the spreadsheet interface and opening spreadsheets downloaded from G-form LibreOffice Calc handout
2. Creating and entering data in a new spreadsheet, saving and exporting to share it with others
3. Spreadsheet basic formatting - Inserting, Renaming, and Deleting Worksheets
4. Formatting spreadsheet to make data more readable
5. Basic formula and using Pivot table to analyses data
4.00 to 4.30 Exploring mobile apps and settings 1. Setting up WhatsApp and about group settings, broadcast
2. Accessing google drive and the form through phone
3. Using Google translator, Voice to text and dictionaries Google translator
