Process

Students can be divided into teams and each team can study the reasons for public financing, one could be based on the nature of finance - allocation, distribution and stabilisation. Students can also find information on current practices on these three aspects in the Karnataka State Budget. The videos of discussions on national budgets can provide diverse and conflicting opinions of different aspects of public finance

What questions can you ask

The Karnataka budget has a significant contribution towards education. Is it adequate? What is the percentage increase in overall budget you think education should have. (Can refer to the Kothari Commission report on education for some inputs here)
