Construction of triangle with 1 side and two angles.ggb

Process (How to do the activity)

  1. with following measures - BC = 12 cms, ∡B = 60, ∡C = 60, (BC as the base)

‘Play’ the construction protocol navigator to understand the construction, after students have constructed on their own

  1. What kind of triangle is it?
    1. What kind of triangle is it - by sides?
    2. What kind of triangle is it - by angles?
  2. Can this triangle be an obtuse angled triangle?

Draw the altitude from vertex A to segment BC. Label the intersection as D

Measure its length. Measure ∡ADB and ∡ADC.

Measure the area of the triangle ABC

Evaluation at the end of the activity
